“Content is King”
Visionary Bill Gates once imagined a futuristic world where everyone would possess the power to affordably create and publish original content. That day has arrived. Bill was right indeed: Content is King on the Internet. People gravitate to information and entertainment, and more so than ever, they discover what they seek online.
I know you trust Bill, but what about facts?
According to Stats Canada, Canadians are avid online shoppers and researchers:
“The value of orders placed online by Canadians reached $18.9 billion in 2012, up 24% from 2010 when the survey was last conducted. More than half of Internet users (56%) ordered goods or services online in 2012, up from 51% in 2010. In 2012, 77% of Internet users did research on goods and services…”

Now, to put Canadian Internet usage into perspective: a recent report by the Canadian Internet Registration Authority revealed that no country’s citizens use the Internet more than us Canadians:
“Not only are a greater percentage of Canadians online than the other citizens of most other countries, but they spend more time there, as well. A recent ComScore study puts Canadians in the number 1 spot, at 45 hours per month, almost double the global average.”
